I have fond childhood memories of learning how to draw, use a brush, and paint flowers. Some of these paintings still hang in my childhood home. I loved painting because it allowed me to be creative, focus on a defined project, and improve my skills. When I started offering painting lessons a few years back, I wanted to help others enhance the creativity of their own works of art using paint on canvas.

I see my role as teaching techniques, coaching on where to improve, and ensuring it is a rewarding experience. In my class, I foster an environment that promotes enjoyment and confidence. Feedback is provided in a supportive manner, and progress is celebrated. I inspire students to explore their artistic expression and develop their unique style. I have used a variety of media such as colored pencils, oil paints, and acrylic paints. In my class, we use acrylic paint for its ease of use and because it allows for a project to be completed within the allotted class time.

Additionally, I believe that painting can be a therapeutic and relaxing activity, helping students to unwind and express their emotions. I strive to create a supportive community where students feel comfortable sharing their work and learning from each other. My ultimate goal is to inspire a lifelong love of art in my students, empowering them to continue creating long after the class has ended.
